Screen Capturing is a utility that can be used in order to take snapshots of the entire screen or of user-defined areas. What is particularly handy about this tool is the fact that it allows users to schedule the captures. One can set the application to snap a picture instantly or with a certain delay, which can be easily adjusted to the desired interval. Furthermore, you have the possibility to opt for continuous capturing to be performed after a defined number of seconds. If you are interested in taking a snapshot of a specific area, you simply have to manually define the size of the region. Regardless of the chosen capturing method, you are provided with the possibility to preview images before saving them. Therefore, you can repeat the task until you achieve the desired result. In order to save captured images, you are required to define an output directory and the convenient format. Pictures can be stored as BMP, JPEG, WMF, TIFF, EMF or GIF files. Compared to other software applications from the same category, Screen Capturing provides a minimalistic set of features. It does not integrate editing and uploading functions or hotkeys for grabbing images without having to access the program’s window. All in all, Screen Capturing is handy and easy to use. If you are looking for a simple means to take instant or delayed captures of your screen, this application is most certainly worth your attention.

Please, try to keep feedback short, quick to understand and specific. Thank you! I think this is a great program! I was running win vista. I set the delay to fifteen seconds and it worked flawlessly. I had a file explorer and it captured that too. The only down side I see is the fact that it seems to be a video screen recorder – no sound or help on what is captured. All other recorder’s I have seen are geared to the users to know what is on the screen. As I had it set to record what was on the screen, I couldn’t tell what was going on around the screen – until I reviewed the videos. The best part is that you have control over the size of the area that it records. The upper limit is probably the size of your screen. You can still record a portion off the screen that is not showing what you want to capture. You can also specify the resolution. All in all, this is a nice program to have. I have already recommended it to several people and am going to keep it for a long time to come. What’s more, you can define the captured area of the screen. What is nice about this application is that you can later evaluate the saved image. With the help of a preview function, you can appreciate the quality of the snapshot. With the help of a timer, the recorded area of the screen is saved with a certain interval. After a predefined time, the captured data is automatically stored on the hard drive. Screen Capturing comes as a standalone application. There is also a version that allows users to capture the screen of a remote computer. What’s more, you can also capture Internet browser activity, audio and video from a remote networked machine. All in all, Screen Capturing is a good application. It is quite easy to use and offers a lot of interesting features.
